Today Davies announces that it has been featured in the 16th annual Sunday Times PwC Top Track 250, as it continues to invest in new technologies and expand into new territories.
Since March this year, Davies has invested in new ways of working for its people and has delivered new technologies to market, supporting its 750 insurance and highly regulated clients across the globe. During 2020 Davies launched a new client app to measure homeworker happiness and it is helping NHS trusts to automate admissions, transfers and discharge processes. This summer the firm donated to local COVID-19 related causes through its charity, the Davies Foundation.
Davies launched an intuitive and powerful app that provides visibility of employee wellbeing in May, and it pledged that the technology would remain free to use during the coronavirus emergency. In addition, Davies’ charity, The Davies Foundation, donated more than £20,000 to not-for-profits and charitable causes in June, supporting the most vulnerable in communities across the locations Davies operates in. In line with the Foundation’s aims, the causes were chosen by colleagues across the business.
Davies’ automation business, Codebase8, continued to work closely with Welsh Health Board, Aneurin Bevan, to fully automate their end-to-end admissions, transfers and discharge processes as a response to COVID-19. Aneurin Bevan sees intelligent automation as the solution enabling them to meet a growing backlog of demand whilst maintaining high standards of patient safety and experience. The first deployment will save hundreds of hours of clinical administration time per month; allowing clinicians to reinvest this time back into patient care and meeting the pandemic head on.
Globally Davies has more than 4,000 colleagues, with operating centres across the UK, Ireland, Bermuda, the US and Canada. The business delivers professional services and technology solutions across the risk and insurance value chain, including excellence in claims, underwriting, distribution, regulation, customer experience, human capital, digital transformation & change management.
Dan Saulter, Group CEO commented: “I’m delighted that our growing business has ranked in the Sunday Times PwC Top Track 250 for the first time. This accolade is a credit to our 4,000 colleagues who quickly adapted to new ways of working back in the spring, ensuring we could continue to deliver an excellent service to our 750 clients during this difficult time. The local communities in which we operate have been hit hard by the pandemic, and I am very proud that our fundraising efforts can benefit causes and groups that have suffered as a result of COVID-19.”
The league table ranks Britain’s leading mid-market private companies with the biggest sales – before the pandemic struck. It highlights their continuing contribution to the economy at this difficult time. It also gives examples of how they have stepped up to support their communities and the NHS. The league table was published this weekend with the Business section of Sunday Times, on their tablet edition, and on the Fast Track website.
